As many of us have heard, Bill McIlveen is retiring from the position of Evening Walks Coordinator. He has volunteered for this job for some forty years and has done a stellar job. Huge thanks to Bill for his contributions!
The new coordinator will work with the walks coordinator for the Halton North Peel Naturalists’ Club to develop the locations and dates, since our walk schedule is shared between the two clubs. We have an archive going back decades that lists walk locations all over Halton and Peel, so the coordinators will identify key sites of interest for the evening walks, often using this resource. We do these walks from mid-May through August in various local trails and parks, looking for flora and fauna of interest.
